Christianity was the religious beliefs in the teachings of Jesus Christ. There were many Christian denominations throughout the world that believed or at least claim to believe in the teachings of Jesus.
Baptists were one such group, who believed that baptism could only be by those who chose to follow the Christ and therefore this could not include babies.[2]
