A brief discussion from Ollie, comparing his origin story to the movie known as Cast Away.[1]

Cast Away was a film starring Tom Hanks that was released in the year 2000.

The film was about a man who survives a plane crash in the ocean and becomes a castaway on an uninhabited island. He is stranded on this island for some time, and he learns survival skills.

In order to keep from going insane, he draws a face on a volleyball that he finds and develops an imaginary friendship with it, because he is lonely.

At some point, Oliver Queen compared his landing on Starfish Island to this film. He admitted that his life was much the same, but he didn't develop a friendship with a volleyball, and instead he met Xeen Arrow, who encouraged him to become a crime-fighter by using trick arrows.[2]
