A calendar book was used for organizing days, weeks and months of the year.
Each year usually had its' own book, which was often pinned up on a wall.
Weeks[]
In most cultures, a calendar week typically consisted of seven twenty-four hour days, which was made up of five weekdays (Monday-Friday) and two weekend days (Saturday and Sunday). and there was approximately four weeks per month.
Years[]
A calendar year generally consisted of twelve months which was about 365 days. It should be noted that this varied from culture to culture, depending on the calendar they used.
For example, since a year was measured by the amount a time it took for a planet to circle its' star, a year on Earth would have been much shorter than a Pluto year.
It's also worth noting that the distance light was able to travel in a year was called a light year.
