The Black Knight of Camelon was a legend among some of the people of Camelon.

It was believed by the Rebel Forces that he would one day fall from the heavens, crashing to their world and then was destined to overthrow the kingdom, and throw the king into the dungeon; thus becoming the new monarch.[1]

History[]

Earth-1A[]

In 1979, the kingdom on the planet Camelon was ruled by the good King Arthur Seven. The leader of the Rebel Forces was either killed or captured, and thus, it was thought that the kingdom was now at peace.

But suddenly, what the Rebel Forces believed to be the Black Knight of Camelon, fell from the heavens. But this was actually Superman, who had lost his memory due to a nuclear explosion when he stopped a giant meteor from crashing into the planet Tarkab.

Logan, the temporary leader of the Rebel Forces, gives Superman his armor and dubs him the Black Knight of Camelon. Under his leadership, the Rebel Forces easily overthrow the Kingdom by sieging Castle Camelon. They then begin taxing the people of the kingdom from a nearby village, and steal things from them. This angers Arthur Seven, who said such taxes were criminal.

Eventually the Super Friends return the kingdom to its' former glory. Batman challenged the Black Knight to a joust, and used particles of the radioactive meteor and a laser lance to reverse Superman's amnesia.[2]
