Beth was a girl that lived during the 20th century.
In the late nineteen seventies she was a friend of a girl named Jody.
History[]
Earth-1A[]
In 1977, Beth was with Jody at a bus stop on Main Street in Central City. They were both heading for the beach, and Beth decided to take the bus there, but Jody decided she wanted to save the fare so she'd have enough money for the jukebox. She opted to hitchhike instead.
Beth told her hitchhiking was a bad idea, but she was ignored by her friend, who accused her of sounding just like her parents.
Beth boarded the bus and it drove off. Jody then put her thumb in the air, and a man in a dark green car pulled up his vehicle and asked her where she was heading. She then told him and he told her to hop in and he'd take her there.
Meanwhile, at the beach, Beth arrived first, where the bus dropped her off. Not long later, she spots Jody in the stranger's car, but he doesn't drop her off there, even though she asked him to. Instead, he pushes down harder on the gas pedal and the car speeds up. He told her she isn't going to the beach.
At this point, Beth was scared. She then locates a phone booth at the beach and uses it to make an emergency call to the Wonder Twins.
At the Tennis Court; where the Wonder Twins were, they were immediately alerted to the kidnapping and she told them that the car he was driving her in was heading down a highway along the coast. Zan, Jayna and Gleek immediately leave to rescue the young girl from her captor.
After the Wonder Twins rescued Jody from the "Hitchhiker Snatcher," Beth and Jody were reunited at the beach. Jody then tells the Wonder Twins that she learned her lesson and that she'll never hitchhike again. Jayna tells her she hopes that she isn't lying, because they might not be around to rescue her next time.[1]

- Youth: As was often the case with young people, Jody was young and prone to making bad decisions. Nevertheless, she proved to be quite wise in her decision to ride the bus, rather than hitchhiking.
