Beautiful Dreamer was a woman from the planet known as New Genesis.

She was a member of the superhero group called the Forever People.

History of the character is unknown.

When the Super Powers Team came to New Genesis to take place in an Award Ceremony, the Beautiful Dreamer; as well as the rest of the Forever People were present there.

She told them that Darkseid's attack on Earth was only the beginning. They go on to state that a Superwar was coming next...which; according to Mark Moonrider "infinity is the battleground."[1]

  • Immortality: Like it was with most members of her race, she was immortal, or was at least capable of living for a nearly infinite lifespan.
  • Superhuman Durability: Presumably she also had the ability to withstand most attacks, as it was for most members of her race.
    • Superhuman Senses: Her psionic abilities also allowed her to sense things normal people could not. For example, she was able to she that the enemy was capable of watching every move that the superheroes made, and that whoever that enemy was, was even capable of "reading our thoughts like words on a page."[3]

  • Beautiful Dreamer was created by Jack Kirby and first appeared in Forever People # 1 (March 1971).[4]

  3. The enemy she was mentioning in that comic story was never revealed, but it was implied that the person reading the actual comic book was the enemy. However, it was implied that the Joker could also see "the enemy" that Beautiful Dreamer could sense, because at one point in part five, Joker breaks the Fourth Wall and says: "Hey, You with the comicbook! I can kill you. I can kill across a universe - dear reader. Thanks to him - I've done it before and I'll do it again!" This seems to indicate that whoever the enemy is, may very well have also been an enemy of the villains; implying that if the story is to ever continue, we may see both the heroes and villains team up...but this is only conjecture.
