Batman: Knightfall

Batman: Knightfall was a DC Comics storyline from 1993-1994.

It involved the supervillain known as Bane; who broke Batman's back; thus giving rise to a successor named Jean-Paul Valley.

The story then followed Valley's battle with Bane and his much more violent version of Batman, until Bruce Wayne is healed, and returns to reclaim his role as the true Caped Crusader.

This was one of the most popular Batman comics ever to be published by DC Comics. Each issue was collected in a number of trade paperbacks, hardbacks and omnibus books.

Knightfall is significant to the Superfriends franchise because certain Knightfall comics were reprinted in the Portuguese language by Editora Abril in volume four of the Super Powers comic books.

Unless you count the Prelude to Knightfall as a chapter, Knightfall is a trilogy, made up of three major "chapters," which were storylines in their own right. The first chapter was Knightfall, the second was KnightQuest, and the final chapter was called KnightsEnd.
