The Bat-Grappling Guns, also known as the Grapnel Launcher, Bat-Grapple, Bat-Grapnel, Bat-Grapple Gun among many other names; were the grappling guns used by Batman and the rest of the Batman Family.
They were capable of shooting special types of grappling hooks called Bathooks, which were attached to a bat rope, which allowed the Dynamic Duo and the rest of the team to climb the side of buildings or other steep structures in a far more simple manner.
