Arborans[1]
The Arborans were an alien species from the planet known as Arbora. They were a race of giant plants, similar to trees which were native to Earth, but they were different because they could walk just like humanoids and other bipedal species could.
They required a large amount of water to survive, however they could survive even within the vacuum of space for a limited time.
On Earth, circa 1969, Superman encountered a rampaging Arboran. He returned him to his homeworld before he caused further mayhem.[2]
