According to Marvin, Wonder Dog sneezes because he is allergic to Almonds.[1]
The Almond was a species of tree native to the Middle East and South Asia.
The fruit of that type of tree was also called almonds, which were nut-like, and often eaten as food.
According to Marvin; Wonder Dog, his pet dog, was allergic to almonds, and when he smelled them, it made him sneeze.
