Al Pratt was in reality the mystery man known as the Atom.
Despite his size, he could hold his own in a fight, which earned him the nickname "The Mighty Mite."
He eventually joined the Justice Society of America and the All-Star Squadron.

At some point, Al Pratt, in his Atom costume, posed for a photograph with several other members of the Justice Society of America.
The other JSA members to pose for the photo were Batman, Superman, Spectre, Hawkman, Hourman, Flash, Wildcat, Johnny Thunder, Starman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Sandman, Doctor Mid-Nite, Doctor Fate, Terry Sloane, the Earth-1A Red Tornado, Black Canary, Ma Hunkel and Robin.[1]

- Short Temper: He was constantly bullied because of his size, and that could cause him to lose his cool. He also at times was overconfident in his own abilities, forgetting about the limitations that come with being short.
