2078 was the second-to-last year of the 2070s.
It was the seventy-eighth year of the 21st century.
History[]
Earth-1A[]
This year might have been the year that Manatoo and his people arrived on Earth. After exploring the ruined cities, they learned that the conflict between the Justice League of America and the Legion of Doom caused all life to be wiped out all over the planet about a hundred years earlier.[2]
They then decide to travel backwards to the year 1978, where they stop the Justice League and the Legion of Doom from causing a premature Armageddon.[3]

- ↑ The fact that it was one hundred years in the future is mere conjecture. According to this, it takes about a hundred years or so for bones to turn to dust. Considering that no dead bodies were seen littering the streets, one might assume that they had all turned to dust, which would probably mean that at least a century would have had to have gone by. Although even this is difficult to calculate considering we could only guess what type of environment each dead body would have been exposed to. Not to mention that one might speculate that the newspapers that were seen blowing in the wind might have also been completely decomposed by that point. Also it should be pointed out, that normal real life logic doesn't always work in a show that uses cartoon logic.
